Lacey is from Birmingham, AL. She has been working with animals for 15 years. She graduated in 2015 from the veterinary technology program at Pensacola State College before moving back to Birmingham. She passed her VTNE in December 2015 and has a special interest in teaching, anesthesia, dentistry, and internal medicine. Lacey worked in emergency medicine before finding her place in a small animal general practice. She joined Southern Veterinary Partners in November of 2021 as the Regional Trainer, where she continued to develop the skills of technicians/assistants and improved hospital efficiency at several hospitals in her region. She is now starting a new position as the hospital manager for Standifer's Animal Clinic.
She enjoys having the opportunity to save lives every day and cherishes the relationships she gets to develop with pets and clients. She is married to Nik and together they have two daughters, Freya and Evi. They also have one dog named Dot, a 12-year-old Lab mix, and a 1-year-old tripod kitty named Nettles. In her free time, Lacey enjoys hiking, reading, true crime podcasts, live music, and spending time with her family.
